Installer technical FAQ
Will factory tinted windows fade or change colour over time like some aftermarket films?
Installer education covering film construction, solar-performance measures, limitations, care and customer questions.
Although many people assume factory tinted windows are susceptible to fading or color change over time, just like some aftermarket films, in reality, factory tint is achieved by integrating pigments directly into the glass itself during the manufacturing process. This means its color is an inherent property of the glass and is much less prone to the kind of degradation that can affect some traditionally constructed aftermarket films. MOD5 TopShield window tint films, however, are specifically engineered with advanced colour-stable materials designed to maintain their appearance and optical clarity throughout their lifespan, overcoming the common issues of discoloration often associated with older film technologies.
