Installer technical FAQ
Does headlight protection film leave adhesive residue after it's removed?
Installer support covering lens-film protection, limitations, preparation, maintenance and customer education.
A common assumption among car owners is that after removing headlight protection film, a sticky adhesive residue will be left behind on the headlight surface. This assumption is false; MOD5 TopShield headlight protection film is constructed with an adhesive system designed for clean removal. While some minimal traces might occasionally be observed, they are formulated to be easily cleaned from the headlight without requiring aggressive chemicals or abrasive methods that could harm the lens. The advanced design of these films focuses on maintaining the integrity of the headlight surface both during adhesion and upon removal. This helps car owners avoid extensive cleaning efforts and potential damage to their headlights.
