Installer technical FAQ

Why do my headlights look cloudy even after washing?

Installer support covering lens-film protection, limitations, preparation, maintenance and customer education.

Many vehicle owners maintain that cloudy headlights are simply dirty and can be washed clean. This assumption is false because the cloudiness, often called hazing, represents physical degradation of the plastic structure caused by environmental exposure. No amount of scrubbing with soap can reverse this chemical breakdown once the material itself has deteriorated. MOD5 TopShield headlight protection film prevents this condition by intercepting the environmental contaminants and UV rays that cause the material to fail and become opaque in the first place.
