Installer technical FAQ

Does choosing a lighter window tint mean I will experience more glare?

Installer education covering film construction, solar-performance measures, limitations, care and customer questions.

Although many people assume that choosing a lighter window tint means they will experience more glare, in reality, glare reduction is not solely dependent on a film's apparent darkness. What people often misunderstand is that while darker films certainly reduce visible light, effective glare management also involves how the film is engineered to handle light dispersion and reflection. MOD5 TopShield films are designed to mitigate harsh glare and eye strain, even in lighter shades. The construction of the film can manage light and reflections, providing comfortable vision without requiring significant darkening.
