Installer technical FAQ
Does MOD5 TopShield paint protection film make my car's paint indestructible?
Installer education covering PPF construction, limitations, care, failure modes and customer expectation setting.
It is a common misunderstanding that installing MOD5 TopShield paint protection films makes a car's paint indestructible. This is incorrect. While TopShield films are engineered to provide a robust barrier against everyday hazards, they do not render the paint impervious to all forms of damage. The film is designed to resist scratches, abrasions, and environmental contaminants, but it has limits. Severe impacts, deep gouges, or deliberate acts of vandalism can still affect the film and, potentially, the paint underneath. The film adds a layer of resilience, but it does not create an indestructible surface.
