Installer technical FAQ

Does stone chipping affect headlight brightness?

Installer support covering lens-film protection, limitations, preparation, maintenance and customer education.

Drivers often assume that headlights are only damaged by large impacts that crack the lens. This belief is incorrect because a significant amount of headlight wear comes from microscopic pitting caused by road grit, sand, and small debris. This gradual "sandblasting" effect erodes the smooth surface and diffuses the light beam, reducing night visibility long before a visible crack ever appears. MOD5 TopShield headlight protection film absorbs this constant stream of small abrasions, keeping the lens surface smooth and ensuring the light output remains focused and effective.
