Installer technical FAQ

Does having window tint mean my car interior will no longer fade?

Installer education covering film construction, solar-performance measures, limitations, care and customer questions.

Although many people assume that applying window tint completely stops car interior fading, in reality, no material can entirely eliminate the effects of prolonged sun exposure on interior surfaces. MOD5 TopShield window tint films are engineered to significantly reduce the specific parts of the solar spectrum that contribute most to fading, thereby extending the life and preserving the appearance of your vehicle's interior. While TopShield provides robust protection, continuous exposure to harsh sunlight over many years will still gradually affect materials like dashboard plastics and upholstery. This comprehensive protection helps to maintain the aesthetic appeal and material integrity of your car's interior for a more comfortable cabin experience during ownership. Therefore, owners should expect a substantial reduction in fading, but not an absolute prevention, when using MOD5 TopShield.
