If I have windscreen protection film, does that mean I'll never need to repair or replace my windscreen?

Many people mistakenly think that installing windscreen protection film means they will never need to repair or replace their windscreen. This misapprehension is not aligned with the functional design of the film. While MOD5 TopShield windscreen protection film significantly reduces the incidence of minor chips and cracks from typical road debris, it does not offer immunity from all forms of damage. Very large or sharp objects, or high-velocity impacts, can still penetrate or compromise both the film and the underlying glass. Therefore, while the film extends the lifespan of the windscreen by protecting against common wear, it does not eliminate the possibility of needing future repairs or even replacement in more severe circumstances.
